Macquarie University is one of the few universities in the world outside
Macedonia where the Macedonian language, culture and literature are taught.
Since 1984 students from all over Australia have been studying Macedonian
language and literature at Macquarie.
The course is open to all adults who wish to study our language; it is not
just for university students. It offers beginners to advanced levels and the course can be undertaken by correspondence.
Many people over the years, including non-Macedonians, have used the course to either learn Macedonian or improve their
language skills.
Macedonian at Macquarie can be studied (i) as part of a Macquarie Uni degree (ii) as part of a Diploma or Certificate in Languages (iii) as part of a degree at any other Australian university (cross-institution), and (iv) as a single unit of study. There is something to suit everyone.
